Since 1980, we have been advocating for social justice and feminist values.
Women’s rights are human rights.
Our lens.
We view issues through the lens of Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality in terms of how women and those connected to them are impacted. We believe that social work policy and practice must be directly guided by the voices of individuals and communities we serve.
Stand up.
We are social workers and like-minded professionals that strive to give voice to the experience of our often-voiceless clients. We strive to highlight alternate paradigms that are collaborative, mutually respectful, appreciate distinctive intersectional female experiences, and empower women.
Fight back.
Each Council activity is designed to strengthen the ability of Council members to resist the implementation of misogynistic, racist, and discriminatory government/agency policies and to use our privileged status more effectively in the service of principled resistance.
